Restaurant Host — Surreal

Location: Arlington, VA (National Landing / Crystal City)

We are currently looking for a friendly, energetic, and professional Host/Hostess to join our Front of House team!

As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first and last impression of our restaurant. We are looking for someone who is welcoming, organized, detail-oriented, and able to maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, has excellent communication skills, and enjoys working as part of a team.

• Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival.

• Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists efficiently.

• Coordinate seating arrangements to ensure smooth service and balanced server sections.

• Answer phone calls and assist guests with reservations and general inquiries.

• Communicate effectively with servers, managers, and other team members.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand and entrance area.

• Provide accurate wait times and manage guest expectations.

• Assist with special requests, large parties, and private dining reservations.

• Support the Front of House team during busy service periods.

• Ensure every guest feels welcomed, valued, and appreciated from arrival to departure.
