Overview

This website, sevenreasonsgroup.com(the "Site"), is operated under the Seven Reasons Groupname; in this policy "we", "us", and "our" refer to Seven Reasons Group. Seven Reasons Group is the shared brand of a family of independently-owned Washington, DC restaurants — Seven Reasons, Imperfecto, The Saga, Quadrant, The Snug, and Surreal — each owned and operated by a separate legal entity; there is no single parent company. This policy describes how personal information is handled through the Site. For matters specific to a single restaurant — such as a reservation, gift card, or private event — that restaurant handles your information, and the third-party services we link to (OpenTable, Toast, TripleSeat) operate under their own policies.

Information we collect

  • Information you provide. If you make an event inquiry, request a reservation, or buy a gift card, you may provide your name, contact details, and request details. Most of these actions are completed on our partners' platforms (OpenTable, Toast, TripleSeat), where their privacy policies apply. We also collect any other information you choose to provide — for example, feedback or correspondence.
  • Concierge conversations. When you chat with our website concierge, we collect the messages you send and the replies, which we retain to operate, secure, and improve the service. To generate replies, your messages are processed by our AI provider (Anthropic). Please don't share sensitive personal information (such as payment card, government ID, or health details) in the chat.
  • Usage & device data. Like most websites, we automatically collect technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring links, and approximate (city-level) location, through our hosting provider and analytics.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy for details and your choices.

How we use your information

  • To respond to your inquiries and provide the concierge service.
  • To operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Site.
  • To understand how the Site is used and measure performance (analytics).
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We do not use the Site to run targeted advertising, and we do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may also create and use aggregated or de-identified information (which does not identify you) to analyze usage and improve our restaurants and services.

How we share information

We share information only with service providers who help us run the Site, under agreements that limit their use of it, and as required by law. Key providers include:

  • Anthropic — processes concierge messages to generate replies.
  • Google Analytics — website usage measurement.
  • Vercel — website hosting and security.
  • Our database provider — stores concierge conversation logs.
  • OpenTable, Toast, TripleSeat — reservations, gift cards, and event inquiries (when you choose to use them).

We may also disclose information to comply with the law, protect our rights and safety, or in connection with a business transaction.

Links to other sites & social media

The Site links to third-party websites and services we don't control — including our reservation, gift-card, and event-inquiry partners (OpenTable, Toast, TripleSeat) and our social media (such as Instagram). When you follow those links or use those services, their own privacy policies and terms apply, not this one. We encourage you to review them.

Cookies & analytics

We use a small set of cookies and analytics to run the Site and understand usage. Analytics runs in a privacy-preserving, cookieless mode by default; we set analytics cookies only if you accept them via our cookie banner. Full details and controls are in our Cookie Policy.

How long we keep information

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Concierge conversation logs are retained for up to 24months, after which they are deleted or de-identified. Analytics data is retained per our analytics provider's settings.

Your choices & rights

You can decline non-essential (analytics) cookies via the banner, and change your choice anytime (see the Cookie Policy). Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. To make a request, contact us at 7@sevenreasonsgroup.com. To protect you, we may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and you may use an authorized agent to submit one on your behalf (with proof of authorization). We will respond as required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Do Not Track & opt-out signals

Your choice in our cookie banner controls analytics cookies on this Site. Because there is no common industry standard for "Do Not Track" browser signals, we do not currently respond to them. Separately, because we do not sell or share your personal information or use it for targeted advertising, there is nothing in that respect to opt out of.

California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, to request deletion or correction, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not knowingly process the personal information of minors for such purposes. The categories we collect are identifiers (e.g., IP address), internet/network activity (usage data), approximate geolocation, and the contents of messages you send our concierge. To exercise your rights, contact us at 7@sevenreasonsgroup.com; you may use an authorized agent. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Virginia privacy rights (VCDPA)

If you are a Virginia resident, you have the right to confirm whether we process your personal data and to access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of it, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or certain profiling. We do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising. To exercise your rights, contact us at 7@sevenreasonsgroup.com. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our response; if you have concerns about our handling of an appeal, you may contact the Virginia Attorney General.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Visitors outside the United States

We operate in the United States, and our service providers process information here. If you access the Site from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the U.S., which may have different data-protection laws than your location.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll change the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
